As our valued patient at Lakeshore Dental Care, you’ll benefit from the latest dental technology. Dr. Layton and our team are dedicated to staying on the leading edge of modern dentistry and has invested in innovative technology in our Saint Cloud, Florida dental office.
We have a passion for providing comprehensive education about your treatments so that we can become partners in your oral health care. We are proud to serve you and offer you these investments in technology to make your dental appointments easier.
Digital X-Rays and Sensors
Our dental office uses intraoral sensors and digital x-rays for faster, more accurate diagnosis and treatments. Intraoral cameras let us show you the inside of your mouth so that you thoroughly understand your needed treatment. With digital x-rays, we can see enhanced images instantly right in our treatment rooms. Digital x-rays use much less radiation traditional x-rays.
While digital x-rays are the standard for any state-of-the-art dental office, panoramic x-rays are another essential tool in diagnosing dental conditions. A digital panoramic x-ray, or “pano,” records an image of all your teeth in a single image and helps us see your bone, teeth, sinuses, jaw joints, and other facial structures.
Oral Sedation Dentistry
If you feel anxious thinking about the dental office, you are not alone. At Lakeshore Dental Care, we know that skipping dental appointments can lead to bigger issues. To help patients relax, we offer oral sedation dentistry. Oral sedation relies on prescription medication to induce relaxation and reduce any dental fears you may have. While you remain conscious, you will feel dreamy, and your dental appointment will be stress-free. We will need to take a medical history to determine if sedation dentistry is safe for you. In all cases, you must have someone drive you to and from your dental appointment.
Nitrous Oxide
For patients who have trouble relaxing during dental appointments, we offer nitrous oxide, a mild form of sedation dentistry that wears off immediately after use. Using an inhalation mask, nitrous oxide helps you feel comfortable and calm while staying completely conscious and awake.
Laser Dentistry
Dr. Layton uses laser technology, which reduces discomfort and helps speed up healing. We often use laser dentistry for minor oral surgery procedures, making your experience at our Saint Cloud, Florida dental office easier and quicker.
Electric Handpieces
One reason people feel anxious about visiting the dentist is because of loud, buzzing, and vibrating objects in their mouths. That’s why we use quiet, low-vibration electric handpieces that shorten your treatment time, improve accuracy, and let you relax.
Digital Records
We keep your private health information safe with our encrypted digital records system. Digital records also allow us to quickly access your information and compare images throughout your treatment.
